Chapter 1: The Humming Breeze

⟨Character 1⟩ the little cloud squeezes their fluffy body, puffing out only tiny silver sparkles that vanish over the dry grass. Their too-big coat flaps in a low, steady humming that drifts across the meadow.

Zephyr: Hello up there. Why are you working so hard?

⟨Character 1⟩: I want to learn how to rain. The grass is so dry. But every time I squeeze, only sparkles come out.

Zephyr: I can help. I am Zephyr, the breeze. Let me blow you higher.

Zephyr swirls around ⟨Character 1⟩, lifting them up, then tickles their wispy edges and sings a little rain song. But ⟨Character 1⟩ only sparkles more and droops, feeling small.

⟨Character 1⟩: Maybe I cannot rain. I try and try, but nothing happens.

Zephyr: Shh. Do not try. Just listen. What do you hear?

⟨Character 1⟩: I hear the grass rustling. And the roots deep below. And a tiny tingle inside me.

Chapter 2: The Soft Rain

⟨Character 1⟩ focuses on the tingle. It spreads like warm light through their fluff.

Zephyr: Now let it go, softly.

⟨Character 1⟩: I am trying. But the tingle is small, and I am a little cloud. How can I learn to rain if I am only little?

Zephyr: Being little is just right. Listen, my friend. You learned the tingle by listening. Now trust it. I am here with you.

⟨Character 1⟩ takes a slow breath and relaxes. A fine, warm rain falls from the little cloud onto the dry grass. The grass drinks and lifts, turning green. Flowers open their faces, and the air smells sweet.

⟨Character 1⟩: I did it! I really learned how to rain! Look at the meadow! Thank you, Zephyr. You helped me.

Zephyr: You did it yourself. Your rain has made everything bright.

⟨Character 1⟩: What are the tiny glowing drops on the grass? They look like little lights.

Zephyr: Those are called embers. Small lights left by your warm rain. They will glow until the moon takes over.

⟨Character 1⟩: I like embers. I feel sleepy now, but happy.

⟨Character 1⟩ and Zephyr float lower, tired and full of quiet joy. They settle into a soft mist near the ground. The moon rises, and the little cloud falls asleep with a friend close by.

⟨Character 1⟩, Zephyr, you brought the rain and the green. Rest now, and goodnight.

What do you hear when you listen very closely, like ⟨Character 1⟩ did?
