How it works
From a few sentences to a story they'll ask for again
- 1
Describe your family
One short paragraph per person: who they are, where they're from, what they love. We show you exactly how the storyteller understood it.
- 2
Pick an idea, a world, or a surprise
Type your own idea or choose from twelve gentle worlds. Choose a mood, a length and, if you like, a little lesson to weave in.
- 3

The first chapter is ready in about a minute. Characters speak in their own voices over soft music while the rest is written.
What happens behind the scenes
First, the storyteller plans a short screenplay: a one-line premise, three acts, what each character wants and how they change, and a list of scenes. A second pass reviews that plan like a script editor, cutting anything generic.
Then each chapter is written as a conversation between your characters, with the narrator only setting the scene. Every line is read by a voice chosen for that character's age and gender, over a soundscape that matches the story.
When it is finished, the story is also saved as a public template with every name and place removed, so other families can tell it with their own characters.
