Privacy policy
Plain-language summary of how we handle your information.
What we collect
- Your account details (email, display name and a securely hashed password).
- The character descriptions and stories you create, your voice and language settings, and which chapters you play.
- Payment status from Stripe if you subscribe. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
How we use it
- To write, translate and narrate your stories, show your library and keep your preferences.
- Character descriptions and story text are sent to our AI writing provider only to produce your stories; they are not used for advertising.
- To run billing, prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.
What is public
- Your characters and stories are private. When a story is shared as a public template, names, ages and places are replaced with placeholders so nothing identifying your family is published.
- Family links are private links you choose to create and can switch off at any time.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete any character or story, and delete your whole account from Account settings. Deleting your account removes your characters and private stories.
Children
- StoryChoose is for parents and caregivers. Accounts are for adults; children enjoy the stories with them.
Contact
